HYBRIDS

CZ / EN

Human expansion is closely connected with the growth of cities. And cities, which require more and more energy as well as space, are one of the main causes of landscape transformation and the loss of the natural environment. HYBRIDS such as landscape urbanism, smart forest cities, vertical forests, and vertical gardens are more possible than ever thanks to all the technologies available today. These solutions not only create a pleasant climate and reduce CO2 in the atmosphere, but they also serve as a substitute for the ‘natural environment’ which has been disappearing due to the growth of cities, leading to a disruption of the Earth’s important life cycles: An increasing amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is closely connected with climate change and the disruption of the water cycle, which gives rise to strong rains, droughts, and other destructive climatic phenomena.
